Pallet Flow Rack

Pallet flow rack is a very dense pallet storage system where first in/first out (FIFO) inventory turn is required due to product shelf life. System is designed with a rack structure and on each level, inclined conveyor wheel sections flow product from one end to the other. Each level has the same number of pallets deep.

Advantages

• High density with minimal aisles
• Allows for oldest inventory to be picked first
• Very popular in pick modules to ensure pickers have continuous access to product
• Very popular in food/beverage/grocery industry where product shelf life is of highest concern
• Allows for picking and put away to be done at same time

Disadvantages

• Best in applications where you have multiple pallets of same SKU
• Lower product selectivity than selective, double deep or pallet flow
• Most expensive type of rack system
